You may have noticed I had set password protection up last night. Again. Why can't I just make a decision about this?
I have been blogging since November of 2004. Nearly 3 years. If I had all of my archives online since that point, I think I would hyperventilate. Being that exposed. When each of our children were born I set up a little site that people could check, then took them down after awhile.
I love to write in my blog, but I do write too much information for the general public to have. I like for people to be able to just happen upon my blog, but I also know at this point that I have people reading who I don't want reading. All it takes is a quick check of searches that have led people here.
It's a hard call...but one I have to make! I know alot of people do a private blog and then a more general public blog, but that seems a lot of work...
Its not asking me for a password when I come. Is it just me?

I meant to say that maybe I told my computer to remember the password or something, and that is why???

At this point, why would I not just post a third comment. I mean the third time is the charm right?
I just wanted to ammend the second comment to say that perhaps I am showing a lack of technical savvy. I do like the word savvy though. I mean, the double "v" - who can resist it?

I saved this link to my work pc and it didn't ask for a password, but I didn't save it to my home pc and I tried to read it this morning and it wouldn't let me in without a password... maybe that has something to do with it. I will take the link off at work so that you can give me the password if you so wish. I won't be offended either way - I just enjoy reading your blog and can relate. No biggy!

One thing I did notice is an obvious lack of a prior post or two... doesn't surprise me, considering the audience that you have lurking.
I understand your mental struggle - to password or not to password, that is the question. I wish I had some great advice for you. I just don't know...

I keep some stuff private and some public, yeah it's a pain, but i feel safe in telling my TRUTH more when i can control who reads what. KWIM?
I didn't get asked for a pw either. is it working or is my computer recognizing if from before?

I think it is working. from home it doesn't ask me for a password becuase I am pretty sure I told it to remember the password from last time. But when I did it from work it asked me for the password and then from my parents it asked me for the password. I think it has to do with those "cookies".

Could you change sites, names or anything else to keep it open? You are an encouragement to all of us "real" people, your honesty was just what I need when I popped on to your blog!! Life is hard, God is Great! No, I dont blog because if I really said what I thought about my MIL I would be disowned. Hats off to you! Email me privately about the IUD- he's 8 now!
Happy days!

Completely confused re password - site works sometimes, but not others. Is there any chance you could let me into the new site? (Sorry, I know I've been much more with the lurking than commenting lately!)

That's why I like Livejournal. I can decide post by post who gets to see it and change it afterards. I used to be a lot more public, but now practically everything is private, mostly because I still use my real name there (will change soonish).
